     A Boy from CT Public School in U-16 District Team of Cricket

Ginish Sandal of CT Public School has brought laurels to the institution by getting selected in under-16 Cricket Team of Jalandhar District. He is now representing Jalandhar in Inter – District U-16 Cricket Tournament. which is being held at Mohali. Ginish is committed to his game and given equal importance to studies. He studies till late at night where as he goes for early morning cricket practice.

Earlier he was selected as Best Bowler by Jalandhar District Cricket Association.

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated Ginish Sandal on his achievement and wished him success in cricket career. She advised other cricket players of the school to follow Ginish’s example Madam Principal acknowledged the efforts of cricket coach Mr.Darshan.

 

    CT Kindergarten visited Wheatfields in Kartarpur

CT Kindergarten visited wheatfields in Kartarpur today. The culture of Nature walk in the month of April is the most appreciable project as the little ones came out of their classrooms to have first hand experience of natural treasure every year. They were shown golden wheat awns and teachers showed wheat grains to them. They were told that they get chapatti, puri, halwa, pizza, maggi and bread from wheat flour. 

According to the Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur such trips are very essential for the balanced growth of the child. All the children enjoyed this educational trip and came back happily.

 

 

  Inter House Solo Song Competition

April 10, 2009

Inter House Solo Song Competition was organised in which students hailing from Jasmine House, Rose House, Lotus House and Marigold House participated with great fervour and enthusiasm under the guidance of Activity In-charge Miss Pooja Sharma and the House Masters .

The  theme of the competition was Punjabi folk lore . All the Participants sang melodious notes and there was a presentation team to depict the message of the song.  The /members of jury comprised of Vice Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal and Kindergarten In-charge Mrs. Anuradha Sharma.It was a neck to neck competition making it a tough job for the jury.

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the winners and awarded Certificates of Merit of the position holders.She appreciated the performance of the students.

     Health Check up Camp at CTPS

 April 7, 2009

On the occasion of World Health Day, the height and weight of students from kindergarten to class V were recorded. A thorough health check up of the students was done by the school pediatrician. The children were given tips on nutritious diet and personal hygiene in order to remain healthy and fit. The students enjoyed the health checkup camp. A written record was sent to the parents.

The principal of the school, Mrs Lakhvinder Kaur said, “School is a temple of learning and provides energy to the heart and soul. The children must be mentally as well as physically strong right from their childhood. A sound mind resides in a healthy body and CTPS takes utmost pride in looking after the health of the students.”

 

 

        An enthusiastic beginning

April 4, 2009

Havan Yajana and Path of  Sukhmani Sahib ji marked the beginning of the new session. The Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur, the teaching faculty and the non teaching staff of the school took part and prayed for the blessings of God Almighty. Ardaas was performed for the well being of the students and for enabling the teachers to perform their duties sincerely. Devotional hymns were recited by all present. Later, a community lunch was served to all including the Class IV employees.
