“CT FAMILY CARNIVAL 2009”
CT Family Carnival was
successfully organized in the premises of CT Public
School on Feb 8, 2009 . The main attractions of the
Carnival were Family Dance, Family Games and Family
Modeling. Numerous families participated in the
carnival with the great zest and fervor.
Chief Guest of the day
SSP(IPS) Jal, Mr Pawan Rai inaugurated the function
and proclaimed the carnival open. Families thronged
the carnival along with their kids to rock the stage
and participated in Modelling, Dance & Games .The
children were seen enjoying rides and games.
Festivities, fun and frolic prevailed all around. A
huge crowd of children was observed at Lucky dip,
Lucky tree, Hit the Pyramid , Tambola and eatable
stalls. Honourable Chief Guest Mr Pawan Rai, SSP,
Jalandhar honoured the families that stood first in
different contests.
An OTG was bagged as
first prize in Family Modelling by Manan & family . A
mixer grinder was won by Priyanshu & family as first
prize in Family Dance and a Mobile phone was bagged by
Tanvi & family as a first prize in Family Games.
Mementos were awarded to every family that
participated. The major sponsors of the carnival were
M/S Ganesh Enterprises, Bansal Brothers, R.K Apparels
, Bhatia Motors & Golden Eagle Advertisers.
The Chief
Guest SSP (IPS) Mr Pawan Rai, in his Presidential
remarks said that the event was an apple’s eye for all
and sundry. It was a wonderful day for the parents ,
children & grandparents to get together like a
festival in the premises of CTPS and enjoy . Such
activities enable an institution to interact with
the parents of the kids. Ten attractive prizes for
Open House were also announced & given by the worthy
Chief Guest. He appreciated the laudable endeavours of
the staff in putting up a wonderful show.

The
Chairman CT Educational Society, S.Charanjit Singh
Channi,Co-Chairperson Mrs Parminder Kaur , Mr. Manbir
Singh , Managing Director of C T Educational Society
and Amita Arora many other distinguished guests were
present on the occasion. The judgment was delivered by
Mrs. Tanika & Mr. Gagun Bedi ( the famous
choreographer of North India) . Chairman of the school
presented a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of
rememberance on behalf of the staff and management.
Principal Mrs Lakhvinder Kaur extended her heartiest
gratitude to the Chief Guest for sparing his precious
time from his busy schedule and being at the
carnival. The Principal of the school also extended
her thanks to the elite gathering of parents for their
benign presence and commended the endeavours of Mrs
Anuradha Sharma, Incharge CT Kindergarten and the
School staff for making CT Family Carnival 2009, a
grand success.
“BASANT WELCOMED AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL”
The festival of
‘Basant’ today brought warmth of sunshine and a
welcome break from the routine study schedule for
CTPians . Students from classes 1st to 8th
were taken to school grounds to fly kites. What a
scene it was ! Red, blue. yellow and green kites all
over the sky. Joy and satisfaction at having flown the
kites high and having ‘cut’ the other’s kite were writ
clear on the faces of students.
Teachers and even the
Principal of the school, Mrs Lakhvinder Kaur joined in
kite flying. Madam Principal said, “Such activities
play a major role in holistic development of the
students and keep them in touch with our culture and
traditions. Festivals keep our lives filled with
enthusiasm and we must celebrate them with true spirit
and fervour
A Very Genuine Prayer for a Very Genuine Person at
CTPS

A Special Assembly was
held today in the premises of CT Public School in
which students prayed from the core of their hearts
for successfull heart surgery of India’s Prime
Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The Principal of the
school and the teachers also joined. After the recital
of Shabad “JO MAANGE THAKUR APNE TE” students came up
with wonderful messages for their ideal i.e. Dr.
Manmohan Singh. He is regarded as excellent economist,
gentle but firm politian but above all, an honest and
down to Earth human being.
Chandandeep Singh of
XI-Science said, “Dr. Manmohan Singh is the ideal of
youth for he is a genuine leader and we all pray that
Dr. Ramakant Panda and his team of doctors should be
able to perform a successful surgery.”
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur said
that “We the citizen of India stand united against
terrorism and we wish our hon’ble P.M to be back with
excellent health”
“LOHRI CELEBRATED IN CT PUBLIC SCHOOL ”

The
winter festival of Lohri was celebrated with great
zeal by the students and teachers of Ct Public School.
In a Special Morning Assembly, students delivered
speeches on the relevance and history of Lohri.
Manpreet Kaur Bal of VIth std. recited a poem while
hostel boys presented a comic skit and enthralled the
audience.

In the afternoon
Chairman CT Educational Society and Co-Chairperson
Mrs. Parminder Kaur celebrated the first Lohri of
their son’s wedding in school. The special couple, M.D
Mr. Manbir Singh and Mrs. Tanika also joined the
celebration. Teachers celebrated Lohri in a
traditional manner by singing songs. Everybody offered
Rewari, Corns, Til, Bhugga, Mungfali to the Lohri fire
and prayed for good future and posivity. A sumptuous
feast followed.
CTPS HOSTEL ORGANISES INTER HOUSE ROLLER SKATING MATCH

An Inter House
Roller Skating Match was played between the boys teams
of Satluj and Beas Houses of CTPS Hostel. A relay race
was organized for Girl skaters. A wonderful show of
skating talents was exhibited during the matches by
the skaters & they played
with true spirit of
sportsmanship. Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur, the
worthy-Principal of the school, was the Chief Guest on
this occasion. The match was played under the able
supervision and guidance of Mr.Sarvish Oberoi, the
Skating Coach of the school. Mrs Anumita Gosal, Vice
Principal of the school, Mrs Anuradha Sharma I/C
Kindergarten, Mr.S.Pandey, Hostel In-charge were
present to buck up the teams. Satluj House won the
match in Boys Category and Beas House won the Relay
Race in Girls Category. Jaskarandeep Singh Ranu of
Beas House was declared ‘Best Skater’ of the session
2008-09. Medals and Certificates were awarded to the
winners.
