         CT Public Schools Hosts Karate Seminar  

July 1, 2008

One Day Karate Training Seminar was held in CT Public School. The Chief Guest and Chief Instructor was Sensei Sandeep M. Gade, Chief Instructor, Examiner and Indian Representative GKIF, JAPAN. Sahil Kumar, the Kick Boxing Champion of Punjab and ex- student of CT Public School managed the whole event. A formal and floral welcome to Sensei Sandeep M. Gade was given by Mrs. Anumita Gosal, Vice- Principal , CT Public School. Sports faculty of the school along with Karate Coach was also present at the seminar. He commented that there is a lot of energy in the youth of Punjab and so he wants to give it proper direction by providing excellent Karate training. Karate is a sport that can be used for self defence, helping the community and for the physical fitness.

 

      PARTICIPANTS OF U.S.A. TRIP FROM CT PUBLIC SCHOOL RECEIVE APPRECIATION FOR BEING GLOBAL CITIZENS, TEACHERS & LEADERS

In a unique ceremony held in CT Public School, participants of U.S.A. trip (held during Summer Vacation) were honoured by the EF Educational tours Ltd.   A group of 33 participants including 26 students, Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur,  Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur and 5 teachers had  gone on an Educational Trip to New York and Florida from June 15 – June 26, 2008.

The group from CT Public School got the compliment from the EF  for being the best participating group.

Today the school received a Citation  from EF.  This educational trip has enhanced the school’s international profile and added  an international dimension to the school’s  curricular profile. Our students will now be better prepared to succeed academically as well as otherwise in today’s rapidly globalizing world.

Certificates of participation were given to all participants by Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur. M.D. of CT Educational Society, Mr. Manbir Singh was also present. He said that such exposure through foreign educational trips enhances the leadership qualities of students, provides them cultural sensitivity and increases intellectual curiosity.

Principal of CT Public School,  Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur appreciated the students and the teachers for making the most of this educational trip.  Madam Principal was glad that her teachers had been great leaders and helped the students to understand the culture and environment of U.S.A.

All the participants were all praise for Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur for being an excellent leader and a motivating spirit all through the trip.

 

           ‘GO GREEN’ COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION OF KINDERGARTEN

July 31,2008

In the kindergarten of CT Public School a Collage Making Competition was held for the students of L.K.G and U.K.G. The title GO GREEN was given to this competition because children used fresh leaves and flowers to make their collages on drawing sheets.Teachers educated the students about the value of trees and plants in our life and gave the message to grow more trees and plants. This was an endeavour to bring the young ones closer to nature.

Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur appreciated the creativity of the students. She encouraged them to participate in all co-curricular activities.
