RHYTHMIC MUSKETEERS- Summer Camp of CT
Kindergarten

A special summer camp for tiny tots of Kindergarten
was held just before seeing them off for the summer
vacation. Children in the age group of 3 to 6 years
learned swimming under the supervision of the coach,
life guards and teachers, They took meditation and
yoga sessions. Asans like Bhujang Asan, Tarh Asan,
Dhanur Asan etc were learnt by the young campers.

In order to enhance creativity the little
ones were taught how to make decorative mirrors, photo
frames, beads, piggy banks etc. In the cooking without
fire classes students learnt how to make Rainbow
Sandwiches, Fruit Salad, Lemonade, Mango Shake etc.
They also learned how to display the food and serve it
properly.

Nutritious refreshment was provided daily to the
campers and they enjoyed the camp very much. On the
concluding day there was a dance party amidst cheers
and all the tiny tots were taken to Mac Donald’s. It
was definitely a chance to improve the confidence
level of each child.
Booties of Art- Mega Art Camp held at
CTPS ( 6th June –
13th June)
A
unique Mega Art Camp was held during Summer Vacations
in
which more than 100 students enrolled. There were
three groups:-

1: Classes I-III
Group
II: Classes IV-VI
Group
III: Classes VII-VIII
Students learnt Art & Craft, Fabric Painting. Acrylic
Painting, Glass Painting, Tile Making etc. The
children were seen fully involved in their work with
colours and other material. It gave the look of some
high profile Art Workshop. On the last day an
Exhibition of the articles made and painted by the
participants was put up and it was named BOOTIES OF
ART. Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the
students for doing such creative work and wish them
Good Luck. Parents of
all
students came and appreciated the work done by their
children. Participation Certificates were given to all
participants and prizes were given for best work.

Science & Technology Week - 28th May - 4th June 2008
A
science and Technology week was observed in the school
in which 100% participation of the students from
classes I-X was ensured. Each section of every class
took up three projects. Students were divided into
groups A,B,C and worked as teams. Quality of the
working models/ projects was monitored by Science
Department. Class Incharges and subject teachers
guided and assisted the students working hard in the
stay back hours of the school. Some of the models/
projects were:-

Causes and Effects of Acid Rain.

Working model of Water Purification System

Electrical Appliances Connected in Parallel.

Joints of Human Body.
As
many as 42 Models/ Projects were put on exhibition by
the students of classes IV-X. Students of classes
I-III worked on the theme- HARMONY & made models
Marine Life, Wild Life Sanctuary, Houses of various
types, Water Cycle etc.
It was
very impressive to see the students explaining their
Models/ Projects to the Judges, Parents and Visitors.
The exhibition was a big success under the able
guidance of Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur and hard
work of Scienxce Department, HOD Mrs. Puneet Madaan,
Activity Incharge Mrs. Pushpinder Lehri, all teachers
and the last but not the least all the students of the
school. The Judges weer Mrs. Ranjana Rajput, Mrs.
Maninder Kaur & Mrs. Punnet Madaan.

Kaur said,” As an educationist it gives me an immense
satisfaction to see my students getting true knowledge
that is practical skills to polish theoretical
knowledge.
