Napier’s Quiz
Date:- September 2 to 6, 2008
An Inter House Napier’s
Quiz Contest was organized at CT Public School. The
quiz was held in three categories- Sub-Junior (III to
V), Junior (VI & VII), Senior (VIII-IX) and the
budding mathematicians from four houses of the school
actively participated with great enthusiasm and
exhibited their mathematical skills. The results are
as follows:-

The Principal of the
School, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated and awarded
certificates and medals to the winners. She
appreciated the endeavors of the students and the
teachers who made Napier’s Mathematical Quiz Contest a
great success.
Teachers Day
Celebration
Date:- September 5, 2008
“Teachers shape the
lives of their students and have an impact on them
even after they have left the institution.”
In CT Public School,
Teachers Day- the birth anniversary of our second
President and great scholar and teacher Dr. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishana was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
There were celebrations as well as some honest
endeavours. Teachers went to the nearby Kalia Colony
for a ‘Tree Plantation Drive’. A group
 of teachers
went to the DC Office to submit a memorandum regarding
inconvenience caused to students as well as other
people due to poor roads near fly over construction
sites-i.e. DAV College and Verka Milk Plant site.
There were many activities arranged by the students.
Teachers gathered for games, discussions and dance.
The Chief Guest of the day was Co-Chairperson of CT
Educational Society, Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi.
Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur gave good wishes to all
her members of teaching department.
District Swimming
Tournament
Date: September 6, 2008
District Swimming
Tournament was held in Govt. Sports College, Jalandhar
in which 22 swimmers of CTPS participated and brought
laurels to the school. In the Under 14 Boys and Under
17 Girls Categories, CTPS lifted Championship Trophies
and the Runners Up Trophy in Under 14 Girls Category.
CTPS team of Under 17( Boys) bagged Third position.

Global Gayatri
Parivar organizes Mass Prayer in CTPS Hostel
Date: September 11, 2008
Global Gayatri Parivar
from Haridwar organized Mass Prayer and Deep Havana
Yajna in the premises of CTPS Hostel. This session was
focused to inculcate moral values and good manners
amongst CT Hostlers. Every CTPian Hostler was made to
understand with a view to tiding over the catastrophic
dangers inherent in the present day world and in order
to effectively and actively contribute towards the
ushering in of the new Goden Era of Peace, Harmony and
understanding humanity as a whole. Mrs.Lakhvinder Kaur,
Principal of the School welcomed and thanked Gayatri
Parivar for this venture. Mrs. Anumita Gosal,
Vice-Principal of the School and Nry. Wing Incharge,
Mrs. Anuradha Sharma were also present in this prayer
session. Later, CTPians were taught yoga for their day
to day life and their well-being. It was enjoyed by
one and all present there.
CTPS excels in Art
of Public Speaking
Date: September 12, 2008
Inter School Sahodaya
Declamation Competition was held in Police DAV Public
School, Jalandhar in which 54 students from 27 schools
participated. Our Student Parneet Kaur of XI Comm.
bagged second position. She spoke on “GOOD GOVERNANCE-
THE ONLY MANTRA FOR A CORRUPTION FREE NATION”.
Roller Skating
Date: September 15, 2008
The Roller Skating Team
of CTPS Hostel visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala
for presentation match of Skating Hockey. The
presentation was very impressive and the players
trained by Skating Coach Mr. Sarvish Oberoi got
appreciation. They were awarded Sports Bags and
Skating Hockey Sticks. An appreciation award was
presented to the school by the RCF.
Painting to Fame
Date: September 9, 2008
JCI Jalandhar City
organized On the Spot Colouring/ Painting Contest at
Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall, Jalandhar in which students
of CT Public School exhibited their Art Skills.
It is a matter of pride
that various prizes were bagged by our students.
